Nestled
in the dunes, this dark 1940’s cottage kitchen was in desperate
need of remodeling .Linda reconfigured the space, adding windows
and creating space for dining, without increasing the square footage.
An expert at keeping the best of the old architecture, she gently
updated the floor plan and it’s now the favorite place to
be in the house.
- Added windows on two sides ,to feature
the ocean views
- Pickled the ceiling and beams white, to reflect
even more light
- Reorganized the space ,creating a better appliance
arrangement
- Designed kitchen to allow for large antique dining
table in center
- Low maintanance, classic material in black and
white
- Pull out pantry
- Pop up downdraft to avoid hood
- Matched new floors to existing
floors
"This kitchen has one of my favorite signature design elements.I
often ‘bump out' windows behind the sink. It is a way to a
give the room a more luxurious look, a little bit more counter space
and allows for a larger sink. All good things And it really can make
a big difference! “
