The owner of this 1980s eclectic contemporary in Montauk requested a gut renovation of her upper floor which included the living room, kitchen, powder room and great room above the garage. The goal was to tie everything together in “white” and create the open feeling of a barn on the lake. Linda did just that—with an all white kitchen and custom wood panelled appliances with vintage hardware. To add a twist on the owners vintage blue glass collection Linda used a top mounted replica of a early 20th century sink from Kohler called Harbor View—how appropriate! White Quartz countertops and white washed floors tie in the kitchen to the living room with lake views. Several built in china cabinets were custom designed for the owners glass collection and a powder room is quietly tucked in off the kitchen. It’s the perfect place to gather with friends, relax and watch the boats sail by.
